In the style of Workshops
The Conservatory is proud to offer its “In the Style Of” workshop series, which offers an exclusive opportunity for students to be selected for free, unique dance workshops with cast members from the Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s musicals. Attendees are selected via lottery, open to all currently enrolled students.
The 2018/19 season’s dance workshops will be presented by cast members from Disney Beauty and the Beast on December 2, 2018, Mamma Mia! on January 27, 2019, and West Side Story on April 7, 2019.
This season's Master Classes include Debbi Dee, Master Tap Teacher and Choreographer, Nancy Carson, New York's Top Agent For Children, and Audition Prep with Beverly Blanchette (for students auditioning at Bak Middle School of the Arts and Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts)
Join Andrew Kato and artistic staff in discussion about navigating a professional career in the performing arts, how to train and prepare for employment opportunities, pursue union membership, and more. Complimentary event. RSVP required.
Professional Training Program
A one-of-its-kind, unique premiere professional training program for young performers who are pursuing a career in the performing arts. The curriculum is designed to train young actors for a career in theatre, musical theatre, film and television. This competitive, audition-only program enrolls 8-12 students per class, enabling participating students to grow at an accelerated pace with extremely high classroom expectations. Class of 2017/19 auditions have closed. Auditions for the Class of 2019/21 will be held on March 10, 2019.
The Maltz Jupiter Theatre Internship Program is committed to providing professional training experience for performing arts majors, recent graduates, and those interested in pursuing a career in professional theatre. An Internship may be used for college credit with the student being responsible for all academic fees, filing of forms and providing the Maltz Jupiter with a specific outline of the University’s Internship requirements.
