Is the 2020/21 season going to happen?
Unfortunately, no. At the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, your safety and security are of the utmost importance to us. In a recent survey of our customers, most indicated that they would be skeptical about returning this season without assurances that they would be socially distanced or be protected with a vaccine. That is why we have decided to postpone our 2020/21 season and reopen in October 2021 when the threat of COVID-19 will most likely be behind us. This reopening date is subject to change as we cannot make any guarantees due to the unpredictability of COVID-19. For more information, CLICK/TAP HERE.
What do I do with my tickets for the 2020/21 season? What are my options?
If you currently hold a subscription for the 2020/21 season, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre is providing three options:
• Stand By Us
Donate the value of your tickets to the “Stand By Us” Campaign. To view all the exciting benefits you will receive for donating, CLICK/TAP HERE.
• Roll It Over
Roll your season tickets over from the 2020/21 season to the 2021/22 season. Your future performance date and times will correspond to your current date and times (to be sent to you in January 2021). Provided that you accept these dates, you will hold the same seat locations. The good news is, your seat prices roll over too! If you have a conflict, we will exchange your tickets into seats as close as possible to your subscription seats (subject to availability). .
• Give Me Credit
Receive a “house credit” for the value of your tickets that can be used for any future season show performances (excluding the 2021/22 season’s BIG HIT BROADWAY MUSICAL, special events, and gala tickets). This credit will never expire; however, your season ticket location(s) will be released. Once this occurs, this is permanent and cannot be undone. We strongly suggest you choose the "Roll It Over" option.
Will the new 2021/22 season be the same as the original 2020/21 season?
Our 2021/22 Grand Reopening Season features a few of the same shows as the original 2020/21 season, with some exciting additions/changes. For our updated season, we’ve put together a dazzling selection of plays and musicals that have been hits on both stage and screen, including: Murder on the Orient Express, Agatha Christie’s classic murder mystery thriller; Sweet Charity, a show-stopping dance musical with a big heart; I Hate Hamlet, a supernatural comedy full of hilarious hijinks; Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, a fast-paced, fun-filled, madcap conman musical; and a BIG HIT BROADWAY MUSICAL so huge, we can’t announce it yet! Why can’t you tell us what the BIG HIT BROADWAY MUSICAL is?
We really want to tell you what our BIG HIT BROADWAY MUSICAL is! Our third show of the 2021/22 season is a much-anticipated musical featuring a touching story and a score spanning two decades of hit music! Due to licensing agreements, we can’t publish the name of the show quite yet, but we hope to announce it in early 2021.
What safety precautions will the Theatre take upon reopening?
We are committed to taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our patrons. When we reopen, we plan to follow all the latest guidelines set forth by the CDC, which may include: sanitizing seats, temperature checks, requiring face coverings, etc.
Will you program any online shows this season?
Keeping our audiences connected to us is very important; therefore, we are hoping to both create original content and provide pay-per-view options in the coming months.

Our box office is currently closed. We are attempting to resolve issues directly through e-mail and mail notifications. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the Theatre was forced to furlough two-thirds of our staff. We are working with a limited team and promise to answer your questions as quickly as we can. Can I still buy a season subscription?

When will the box office reopen?
Due to construction, the box office is closed, and we have moved to offsite offices. When the box office reopens, we will send out an e-notification to alert patrons. Limited Engagements are on sale now for the 2021/22 season via our online ticketing system HERE. Single tickets for season productions will go on sale (date TBD), online at jupitertheatre.org and at a remote box office to be announced at a later date.
Other theatres have refunded me. Why can’t I get a refund?
We are different from performing arts centers and other “presenting” houses. As a regional producing organization, we create the work on our stage from scratch. Performing arts centers and other “presenting” houses, by virtue of the fact that they purchase their shows, can utilize the force majeure (Act of God) clause in their contract to get out of their obligations without penalty. In the Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s situation, in most cases, we have already made a substantial investment into the production, which is not recoupable. That is why we ask our patrons for their understanding. We hope that you will help us by donating your tickets back to the Theatre through the "Stand By Us" Campaign.
