The Carpenter position at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre is responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and striking sets and show elements for season productions and other special projects as assigned. This role works as part of a team at the Theatre Production Center and reports to the Technical Director and Assistant Technical Director.
Pay: $850/week, paid biweekly
Job Type: Full Time, Seasonal (38 weeks)
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Reading construction drawings and executing builds according to the designers’ specifications
- Completing projects as assigned by the Technical Director and Assistant Technical Director on schedule
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Carpenters must know how to safely operate all common woodworking tools. Welding may also be required.
This role may need to work weekends and evenings.
Qualifications: 3 years’ experience. BFA preferred
