Other nominations include Alan Souza for Best Director, Gavin Lodge for Best Actor, Mimi Hines for Best Supporting Actress, Helen Gregory for Best Musical Direction, Ron DeJesus for Best Choreography, Michael Philippi for Best Scenic Design and Donald Thomas for Best Lighting Design.
The 33rd Annual Carbonell Awards recognizes excellence in regional theater in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties. The ceremony will be held at the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale on April 6, 2009.
"We are thrilled to have received eight nominations on just one show!" says Andrew Kato, Artistic Director of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre.
