November 6, 2014 – For a truly unforgettable gift this holiday season, let Broadway-caliber theatre productions, comedy shows and high-energy concerts spark your imagination!
‘Tis the season to treat your office staff, family, neighbor, friend or sweetheart to the hit Tony Award®-winning musical Fiddler on the Roof (onstage December 2 - 21). Currently celebrating its 50th anniversary, this story of family and heritage arrives just in time for the holiday season. Featuring timeless melodies and songs such as “Sunrise Sunset,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker” and “If I Were a Rich Man,” this beloved musical will capture your heart!
And that’s not all. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre has the perfect gift for everyone on your list – including The Best of Broadway Musical Revue in December, performed by students from the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Paul and Sandra Goldner Conservatory of Performing Arts (December 30), two New Year’s Eve performances by The Capitol Steps (December 31) and the spirited rock gospel and soul musical The Wiz (January 13 - February 1).
The high-octane Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece Glengarry Glen Ross (February 8 – 22) sheds light on a group of tough-talking Chicago agents in the middle of a high-stakes sales competition, while the Tony Award®-winning epic phenomenon Les Misérables (March 10 – April 5) takes audiences on a journey through the French revolution in this epic tale of compassion and destruction. Featuring unforgettable songs such as “I Dreamed a Dream,” “One Day More” and “On My Own,” this inspiring production is not to be missed.
“We have something new and exciting for everyone this winter,” said Andrew Kato, the Theatre’s producing artistic director. “Jazz fans will appreciate the internationally-known sounds of Spyro Gyra (December 8), while Irish music enthusiasts will love the Celtic classics and holiday favorites of Tony Kenny’s Christmastime in Ireland (December 15). Of course, everyone also loves our joyous celebration of the holiday season with the Palm Beach Gardens Concert Band’s Holiday Concert (December 22), an annual tradition.”
In January, take a friend out for a trip back to the ‘60s with the falsetto and smooth harmonies of the Atlantic City Boys (January 2), or treat yourself to Steve Lippia Centennial Sinatra (January 3), a tribute to the songbook of Frank Sinatra. In February, get ready to dance in the aisles to the music of the Swedish hit group Abba for Abbamania (February 23). Enjoy the music of the great Motown groups of the ‘60s and ‘70s with So Good For The Soul: A Tribute to the Music of Motown (February 27).
In March, celebrate the best of the Great White Way with a big band sound with Broadway’s Big Band (March 23), featuring Broadway classics such as “Funny Valentine,” “Summertime,” “Night and Day,” “Strike Up the Band,” “Nice Work If You Can Get it” and many more!
