Celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas or New Year’s Eve at the Theatre! Holiday options include the spectacular Broadway blockbuster Disney Beauty and the Beast, a holiday-themed orchestra performance and two New Year’s Eve performances by The Capitol Steps

November 29, 2018 (Jupiter) – For a truly unforgettable gift this holiday season, let the Maltz Jupiter Theatre entertain you with the magic of live theatre!

‘Tis the season to treat your office staff, family, neighbor, friend or sweetheart to a completely re-envisioned version of the smash hit Broadway musical Disney Beauty and the Beast, onstage now through December 16.  Adapted from Walt Disney Pictures' 1991 Academy Award-winning animated musical film, this unforgettable story of a tenacious beauty who meets a selfish prince-turned-beast is a tale as old as time. Showcasing spectacular costumes and enchanting effects, Disney Beauty and the Beast is a fairy tale filled with magic, romance and a young woman’s determination to find her own way. We invite you to be our guest as this beloved Disney classic comes to life on stage!

And that’s not all. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre has the ultimate performance for everyone on your list – including a rare four-week run after the New Year of the sunny and funny musical that took Broadway by storm: Mamma Mia!

A feel-good musical that will have audiences dancing in their seats to ABBA’s greatest hits, Mamma Mia! will dazzle audiences January 15 – February 10. With music and lyrics by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson and book by Catherine Johnson, Mamma Mia! follows the story of Sophie, a young woman desperate to find her biological father as her wedding day approaches. After reading her mother’s diary from a wild summer 20 years ago, Sophie learns that her dad could be one of three men. She invites the men to her wedding without telling her mother, who is unprepared by the surprise reunion with her three ex-lovers. What ensues is one unforgettable trip down the aisle!

“The Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s shows are an incomparable activity for groups, and Mamma Mia! is the perfect show for everyone,” said Dana Munson, the Theatre’s marketing director. “Bring your group and celebrate the New Year! Discounted group rates are available, with excellent availability in the musical’s third and fourth weeks.”

Looking for a night out this holiday season? You won’t want to miss Christmas Cheer: Live from the Maltz Jupiter Theatre (December 18), featuring heartwarming renditions of holiday favorites with this all new show presented by the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Orchestra. Broadcast live on Legends Radio, this outstanding musical experience will leave you and your family basking in the wonder and magic of the season. Other holiday shows include two performances of The Best of Broadway Musical Revue, featuring students from the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Goldner Conservatory of Performing Arts (December 29 and 30) and two New Year’s Eve performances by the always-hilarious Capitol Steps (December 31).

Theatre tickets make the perfect gift! Spring season performances include the South Florida regional premiere of A Doll’s House, Part 2 (February 24 – March 10), an uproariously funny comedy fresh from its Broadway run that imagines Nora’s untold story after leaving her marriage in Henrik Ibsen’s famed play. The Theatre’s incredible season ends with West Side Story (March 26 – April 14), the Tony Award®-winning sizzling dance musical about two star-crossed lovers caught between warring street gangs.

The Theatre has concerts and special events for everyone in the coming months. January brings a recreation of the Carpenters' original sound with We’ve Only Just Begun – Carpenters Remembered (January 4). Just in time for Valentine’s Day, February brings two performances by one of the biggest and most successful doo-wop groups of all time: The Drifters (February 15), as well as the side-splitting improv group The Second City with It’s Not You, It’s Me (February 16), an all-new show that takes shots at heartbreak, missed connections and the mire of human relationships.

March brings the magic of legends with two performances of One Night in Memphis – The No.1 Tribute to Presley, Perkins, Lewis and Cash (March 13 and 14) and the energy of Fleetwood Mac at the height of their career with two performances of Rumours - A Fleetwood Mac Tribute (March 15), while April offers the chance to get “all shook up” with the full Las Vegas-style show Chris MacDonald’s Memories of Elvis in Concert (April 26) and a rocking evening to the music of Billy Joel with two performances of It’s Still Rock and Roll To Me: The Music of Billy Joel Featuring Wade Preston and the Movin’ Out Band (April 27).

“Many of this season’s concerts have sold so well that we’ve added additional performances to accommodate fans,” Munson said. “We’ve just added another performance each for Rumours - A Fleetwood Mac Tribute and It’s Still Rock and Roll To Me: The Music of Billy Joel Featuring Wade Preston and the Movin’ Out Band. It’s the perfect time to buy tickets and get great seats for each of the new shows!”
