With the current financial state of the arts industry, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre and Goldner Conservatory of Performing Arts has had to make some difficult choices to preserve our ability to return once the pandemic is over and social distancing is not required. Unfortunately, one of the tough decisions was to close the Conservatory effective July 1 until we are able to return. We are hopeful we will be able to open our doors again soon, but we need to keep everyone’s safety as a paramount concern.
Please know this was a hard choice for all of us and we want to make the transition as easy as possible for our conservatory sutdents and parents. With that in mind, for the period of the Conservatory’s shutdown, The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is in full support of parents working directly with our faculty members to enroll in classes during the shutdown period. In this situation, the Theatre and Conservatory will not be doing any scheduling or collecting of fees. In support of our instructor’s need to continue their livelihood through teaching, we will permit you to negotiate your fees and work out your schedule directly with the instructors. During this period instructors will be working as their own agents and therefore, until the Conservatory is back up and running, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre and the Goldner Conservatory of Performing Arts assumes no risk or liability for any agreements entered with the instructors.
Full faculty is working together to create a wide variety of courses on Zoom, Skype and Facetime and will continue to be present in your child’s arts education. Once we can open our doors in a safe and secure fashion, we will be excited to welcome back the full faculty and all of you so we can continue the good work the Conservatory has been doing over the last eleven years.
