Come experience the oldest modern dance company in South Florida perform some of the company’s most beloved works, choreographed by company founder, Demetrius Klein. The program will include excerpts from Messiah, a piece originally created almost 40 years ago to sections of George Handel’s brilliant work, Prayer Cycle, a piece created in 2002 in the aftermath of 9/11, and an excerpt from Halos In Reverse, which is a fast paced work created in 1993 and set to a locally created original score that tells the story of the beginning of Demetrius Klein’s dance career in abstract. This is a must-see program, loved by both the performers and by audiences for decades. Following the performance, the audience will have the opportunity to engage in a question-and-answer time with Artistic Director, Kristen Vencel, and younger audience members will have a chance to learn a segment of choreography and interact with the dancers.
