Conservatory Marketing and Outreach Coordinator

Compensation: $50,000

Position Summary

The Conservatory Marketing and Outreach Coordinator brings dedicated marketing and design expertise to the Goldner Conservatory as its programming and community reach continues to grow. This role produces the Conservatory’s social media content and paid advertising, adapts existing Theatre and Conservatory materials for digital, print, and outdoor use, and represents the Conservatory at outward-facing community events to recruit new students and build awareness beyond the building’s walls.

This position also provides limited backup support on registration matters and collaborates closely with the Conservatory Business Manager and Curriculum and Programs Manager on brochure production and class-description content.

Core Responsibilities

  • Content Creation and Design
  • Create original content for Goldner Conservatory social media channels, maintaining a consistent and engaging presence across platforms
  • Write social media copy and captions aligned with Conservatory and Theatre brand identity
  • Resize and adapt existing Theatre and Conservatory marketing materials for use across formats, including digital, print and outdoor advertising
  • Design and place advertising for the Conservatory, including print ads
  • Maintain and update Conservatory website content, ensuring visual materials and content remain current

Brochure and Collateral Production

  • Partner with the Curriculum and Programs Manager and Business Manager on the design and production of the seasonal program brochure, working within a timeline that supports the annual season announcement
  • Support layout, design, and production of Conservatory flyers, postcards, and other print collateral.

Outbound & Community Marketing

  • Coordinate events and performances (with assistance from Conservatory Curriculum and Programs Manager) outside of the Theatre using the CORE (Conservatory Outreach Repertory Ensemble) and other students for marketing presentations, development events, and other projects that the Theatre requires to help promote the Goldner Conservatory.
  • Represent the Conservatory at festivals, fairs, and other off-site community events to recruit new students and build area awareness (e.g., local festivals such as ArtiGras-style community events)
  • Identify and pursue new outbound marketing opportunities and community partnerships to expand Conservatory visibility
  • Coordinate outreach materials and signage for off-site recruitment events

Digital Marketing & Advertising

  • Manage Conservatory-specific digital marketing channels, including email campaigns and paid digital advertising
  • Track and report on the performance of digital and print marketing efforts, adjusting strategy as needed
  • Coordinate with the Theatre’s broader Marketing department to ensure brand alignment and maximize reach
  • Coordinate and manage marketing and other communications via Jackrabbit including, but not limited to, Conservatory production ticket sales and events.

Registration & Front-of-House Support (Limited)

  • Maintain working familiarity with Jackrabbit and basic registration processes to provide backup support to the Business Manager and Curriculum and Programs Manager as needed
  • Assist with front-facing family questions when the Business Manager and Curriculum and Programs Manager are unavailable

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field; or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated success in the development, execution, and management of marketing and advertising strategy
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign and social media management platforms
  • Strong writing skills for social media, email, and print copy
  • Strong ability to independently represent the organization at public, off-site community events including travel and set-up
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends for community events

Preferred

  • Experience marketing youth or arts-education programming
  • Basic familiarity with registration or CRM/database systems (Jackrabbit)
  • Photography or videography skills for content capture at events and in the studio

Key Working Relationships

Works closely with the Theatre’s Marketing department for brand alignment. Works in daily partnership with the Curriculum and Programs Manager and Conservatory Business Manager on content, brochure production, and limited registration backup.
