Featuring popular American masterpieces by three beloved composers, Siegel’s exclusive ‘An American Salute’ concert showcases the renowned pianist’s talents with engaging commentary

February 19, 2020 (Jupiter) – Internationally-acclaimed pianist Jeffrey Siegel is bringing an all-new Keyboard Conversations® concert to the Maltz Jupiter Theatre for one night only.

Taking place at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, the concert follows in the engaging, accessible tradition of the popular sellout concerts that Siegel performed for more than a decade at Palm Beach’s The Society of the Four Arts.

An enjoyable concert for music lovers and those who would like to be, Siegel’s An American Salute will feature lively discussions and performances of some of the most beloved works of American composers: the rarely-heard solo piano version of George Gershwin's ever-popular Rhapsody in Blue, Siegel’s own exclusive arrangements of excerpts from Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story, Aaron Copland's humorous Cat and the Mouse and rousing Hoedown and the Florida premiere of Bernstein’s unpublished Meditation on a Wedding.

How does Mr. Siegel happen to have an unpublished Bernstein piano piece? Why did Bernstein's esteemed biographer Humphrey Burton give it to him? Find out at this fast-paced and fun-filled concert, perfect for all ages.

Hailed by The New York Times as “an artist who means every note he plays” and The Chicago Tribune as “the Leonard Bernstein of the piano,” Siegel brings power and passion to his celebrated Keyboard Conversations® concerts. Siegel has toured the globe, appearing as soloist with the world’s great orchestras in white tie and tails.

Known for his flawless technique and insider’s “scoop,” Siegel’s concerts each offer brilliantly polished concerts-with-commentary in which his dynamic, captivating remarks precede virtuoso performances of piano masterpieces. The concert concludes with a fast-paced Q & A. New listeners will discover an informal, entertaining and instantly accessible introduction to the magnificent piano repertoire, while seasoned music lovers enjoy an enriched, more focused listening experience.
