A LOVE AFFAIR TO REMEMBER
AT THE BREAKERS PALM BEACH
Plans are underway to make the Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s annual gala the most heartfelt celebration yet!
February 3, 2016 – Get ready to take a journey through the great love songs of past seasons at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s annual gala, A Love Affair: the most spectacular, elegant evening of the year!
Inspired by the generosity of the Theatre’s loyal supporters and donors through the years, the lavish affair will take place on Saturday, February 20, at The Breakers Palm Beach. The Theatre’s “season of love” has included giving thanks to the Theatre’s supporters throughout the season – and the annual gala is no exception. Led by chairman Michele Jacobs and honorary chairman Gil Walsh, the evening will honor longtime Theatre supporter Jane F. Napier.
“Our biggest fundraiser of the year will stay true to the Theatre’s mission of entertaining, educating and inspiring our community,” said Pamela Dyar, the Theatre’s director of development. “A Love Affair is a great reason to get dressed up and enjoy an unforgettable evening for a great cause: the largest regional theater in Florida, which wouldn’t be here without its generous supporters.”
The Theatre’s development team has spent the past year working with the design and lighting studios at The Breakerscreatingthe perfect vision for the ball. Guests will encounter a celebrated ballroom aglow in candlelight with a palette of plum and blush, complete with dramatic centerpieces to set the stage for a sumptuous three-course dinner and spectacular performances. An orchestrated medley of love songs will bring all the drama and beauty of live theatre into the evening, and a special tribute to the evening’s honoree will surprise and delight all who attend.
“Broadway has produced some of the most beautiful love songs imaginable, and we want to share the love with our supporters this season,” said Andrew Kato, the Theatre’s producing artistic director and chief executive. “A Love Affair is about our mutual love of theatre – but more than that, it is about our love of those who recognize and understand that there is no heart without art.”
The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is a professional, not-for-profit regional theatre dedicated to the performing arts whose mission is to entertain, educate and inspire our community. A Love Affair will raise funds for the Theatre’s award-winning productions to help keep its performances affordable for all, as well as inspiring the next generation of young audiences through the Theatre’s community outreach programs.
